How Our Extra Baggage Fee Works

Our Online Extra Baggage Fee is currently only for suitcases and is designed to integrate seamlessly into your booking process.

1. Identify Your Needs: Determine if your luggage exceeds our standard free baggage allowance. Each and every passenger has a free baggage allowance of one backpack and one suitcase. If you have extra bags, you will be required to pay the baggage fees for only the extra baggage.
2. Fee Structure: The standard fee for each extra suitcase is $10. If your extra baggage is more than just suitcases, you will need to get in touch with our Luggage Office us for a quote as the costs then vary depending on weight and size.
3. Easy Payment: If you have just suitcases, the fee can be added and paid for during your online booking process or it can be paid at any of our offices. We aim to make this process as simple as adding to your cart.
4. Confirmation: Once the fee is paid, your excess baggage is accounted for when you check-in, and you can travel with peace of mind.

Our comprehensive Unaccompanied Minor Service includes:

• Early boarding: Allowing your child extra time to settle in and meet the host and drivers.
• Escort: Our staff will escort your child to the authorized adult picking them up upon arrival.
• Supervision during travel: While Extracity hosts have other duties, they will regularly check on your child as time allows.

Important Restrictions and Requirements:

• Check-in: Parents/guardians must arrive at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure time and check in.
• Required: documents:  You are required to provide the phone number of the adult meeting your child at their destination. You may be requested to fill out an unaccompanied minor form, in which case the form must remain with the child throughout their journey .

We recommend preparing your child for their trip by discussing what to expect, pointing out Extracity team uniforms, providing written phone numbers, packing games, books, snacks, and fully charged electronic devices with headphones.

In case of bus delays or cancellations, we will contact the individuals listed on the unaccompanied minor form.

Important Notes:

• This fee is charged per passenger travelling. If your ticket has 3 passengers, you will need to add three passengers to the cart.
• For change of trip destination, this fee is for rebooking only and does not cover the cost of the new ticket if it is priced higher than the original. Any price difference will be handled separately.
• Availability for rescheduling is subject to Extracity’s discretion and is also subject to seat availability on the new desired date/time.
• Rebooking or reschedule requests must be communicated at least an hour before departure time.
• If you booked online, you can communicate your intention to rebook or to reschedule using any other channels, but you will be required to send us a Reschedule Request email as well to info@extracity.co.zw or to submit the Rebook Request form online.
• If you booked at our offices, you can communicate your intention to rebook or reschedule using any other channels, but you will be required to bring the original ticket before any reschedule is done
• No cancellations and refunds can be processed after a ticket has been rescheduled.

How it Works:

1. Select Number of Tickets: Choose the number of lost tickets you need to re-validate. Each quantity represents one lost ticket fee.
2. Provide Details: During the checkout process, you will be prompted to provide essential information related to your original booking, such as your original ticket number/order number (if available), booking name, and travel date. This information helps us verify your original purchase.
3. Complete Payment: Finalize your payment using your preferred method.
4. Receive Confirmation: You will then be provided with another replacement ticket

Important Information:

• This service is for re-validating lost tickets for pre-existing, valid bookings only. It is not a new ticket purchase.
• The lost ticket fee is non-refundable once the re-validation process is complete.
• While we strive for immediate re-validation, please allow a short processing time for the system to update.
